This card is part of a tarot deck I've created entitled Chain of Life Tarot comprised of vintage photographic imagery altered and added to in Photoshop. I've put the art for the Moon XVIII Card on a mobile telephone stand.
This is the Moon, a card that tells us it is time to trust our intuition rather than relying on mere facts. The moon changes faces nightly. This card warns us about the duplicity of a situation or person we must deal with who is not what it or they seem.
This design is also a depiction of the Moon as the Mother. A face of a wolf can also be seen in the moon here.
This is one of those designs that came together almost as though it was meant to be. I originally came across a vintage postcard of a maiden holding a staff. I envisioned her with a half-moon lantern lamp hanging from her staff and mirroring her image in the other direction with a full moon shining behind the two maidens. The face of the wolf that materialized from the combination of these images is nothing but sheer magic. This is another one of my favorite images in this deck because of the synchronicity of the imagery.
